This year’s tournament will be held on Monday, June 25th, 2012 at the prestigious Oaks Golf & Country Club. Our Gala social evening featuring fantastic food and entertainment as well as our famous live and silent auctions will be held Sunday, June 24th 2012 at Lexus of London on Wharncliffe Road South.
Over the past eleven years the Lexus of London Golf Classic has partnered with the community to assist Dr. Joseph Chin and his dedicated team in the fight against prostate cancer. In fact, in excess of $875,000.00 has been donated on behalf of the Lexus of London Golf Classic to help Dr. Chin and his team to further improve diagnosis procedures and the quality of life of survivors and their families. We are again looking for community minded corporate sponsors to join us in our fight against this terrible disease at the 2012 Lexus of London Golf Classic on June 24th and June 25th. We are sincerely and passionately committed to this annual event and corporate sponsors are a critical element to our success. Your participation will be recognized as having a critical role in not only providing the funding for research and equipment but also raising important public awareness about the benefits of prostate cancer screening and early detection.
Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer among men in Ontario. One in eight will develop prostate cancer in his lifetime. On average 430 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer every week, 83 will die from it.
Education and research are the keys to success
in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer!
With early detection, the survival rate is very high, about 87 per cent. With your help we hope to continue to raise awareness and the necessary funds to further research benefiting men and their families throughout Southwestern Ontario. Diagnosis technologies are now more accurate, and we are learning more every day about the risk factors and measures to prevent this disease.
